I am never alone

There have been many times in my life where I have been abandoned by people I love and care about. Most often my first thought and feeling is that I am alone. But then I am filled with a peace and a love that is unexplainable! I realize then that I am not alone. That God is right there beside me and will never leave. During those hard times... when my world is crumbling around me... I am reminded of my most favorite poem of all time by Mary Stevenson, Footprints in the Sand.

 

So often we will feel abandoned by others, but God will never leave us. In fact He will carry us when we are too weak and broken down to continue on our own. God loves me and cares for me and feels my pain. I am never alone.
