Nursing School

Well, today I had orientation for school. Tomorrow I begin my fist class. At 7am. Already I have about 3 chapters to read before tomorrow. As our professors went through our syllabus I wondered more and more what I have gotten myself into. All I can hope and pray is that my daughters will forgive me for being so absent over the next two years. I was almost in tears at one point as I realized just how little I would be seeing my girls every week. I am going to need some real strength to get through this. As my professors gave us list after list of things we would have to be doing each week (majority of it having to be done on campus) I couldn't help but think, "Ok, I am not doing this! I cannot be so absent from the girl's lives!" Yet, I know that I must do this. If I want to give them any sort of life, I must do this. I remind myself of how much Maggie wants to be able to take dance lessons and horse-back-riding lessons. I remind myself that in two years all three girls will be in school, and I can't pay for private school on a minimum wage job! haha Well, I must get back to reading the three chapters! blah Please pray for me!

  1. Thanks for the nausea encouragement. :) I'm hoping it doesn't stick around the whole time for me but trying to prepare myself mentally in case it does. It'll all be worth it, I know.
And just wanted to let you know that I'm so proud of you for working towards a career. I remember feeling super overwhelmed at the beginning of a semester (and I bet it's even worse for nursing classes) - so hang in there. It really is possible to accomplish it all and I know God will give you strength to still be an amazing mother to your girls. Hang in there! (from jana)
