I realized the other day that I have said nothing on here about Maggie and her starting school! Yes, I have one officially in school now... well, I guess. She is in PS4 at a christian school in our area. She is loving it! She even enjoys waking up at 7am to get ready for school (which for anyone who knows her, knows that that is very unusual for her). She pops right out of bedding chatting away, excited about her day at school. Granted, she only goes three days a week and then only half days; but for a 4 year old... that is quite a bit. Though she does get disappointed when she knows that she doesn't get to go to school on a particular day. She loves almost every part of her school, but her favorite "subjects" are art and gym. She can't get enough of them. She gets very upset when it isn't Thursday, because Thursdays are the day she has gym class. Whenever I am driving her to school she always asks me if she gets to do gym that day. I respond with the appropriate "yes" or "no" and she responds with a resounding "YA!" or "Aaaww!". I am thankful for the fact that she is in school. It helps a little with the separation issues with me having to go to school too. She is a bit more understanding now then she was when she wasn't in school. But, I still have days where she clings to me crying, begging me not to go to school. Those are the worst days. The days where I seriously consider quiting. But I try to remind myself that I am doing it all for them. That I am doing it so that I can provide a good life for them with a better job.
Speaking of jobs. I finally got one. It isn't much, but it is better then nothing. I am a cleaning lady for a not-for-profit organization here where I live. They dig fresh water wells for different tribes and peoples in Africa. It is pretty cool. I only work twice a month so its not like I could finally get my own place or something, but... its a little extra so that we can losen our belts a little (very little haha). All the people who work there are really nice and very neat people ( one of the couples actually lives in my neighborhood). I actually got the job through my church, so that is neat. I only started today so we shall see how it goes. It was a bit rough today, but I am sure it will get easier as I learn the ropes. Just hope I don't let them down.
