He finds delight in me

So last night the subject of my study, Being Yourself - How do I take off this mask?, talked all about how I am God's delight. How He took such great delight in creating me. I have often heard about how God loves us despite all the wrong we have done, but it still amazes me. I don't love or even LIKE myself on many days because of my mistakes/flaws/sins. One of the questions in the study was, "Why do you think it was such a delight for God to create you?" I couldn't answer! I had no idea. The only thing I could think of was the fact that it was because I was HIS creation. He created me so why wouldn't He take delight in what He has created? Yet at the same time I don't know how anyone, much less God, could find delight in me!

Another thing that came up was the fact that we are to declare God's glory. We are here to be a physical representation of the love and goodness of God! The study asked me how I let God show His goodness through me. I was ashamed! Because most of the time I don't. I hide in my comfort zone and am too afraid to put myself out there. More often then not I would rather eat a jar of nails then have to talk to someone I don't know! More often then not I let my fears get to me. Don't get me wrong... God has given me a very heavy burden for the lost and I do want to help... it is just getting past these fears. At times I have been able to, but... I think I make too many excuses. "Not this time God, but next time!" "I will work on my fear, I promise, and one day no one be able to stop me from spreading your word!" Yet it never seems to happen. This is why I started this blog. I wanted to put it out there so I would be accountable to everyone reading this. Hoping that I will have people praying for me and cheering me on! I want to be someone that God will find delight in so that one day, when I reach my heavenly home, I will hear from my Father; "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
