Well, sadly I only got one story. But that is ok! I am going to tell some more anyway. :D The next two that I am going to tell actually happened when I was around 8 and 11 years old. These ones really aren't embarrassing, more like "ouch!" stories. haha
Well, the first one happened when I was around 8 years old. My family and I were over at a friends house. Now this family only had boys so I usually just stayed upstairs with the adults instead of going in the basement with the boys (I was usually all boyed out by then due to only having four brothers to play with). One day though when I got tired of listening to the adults conversations I decided to go into the basement to rollerblade. Well, as I came through the basement door I saw one of the boys shaking his foot trying to get something off of it (I took all of this in in about a split second). Almost as soon as I opened the door and stepped through, the thing on his foot flew off and headed straight for me. It hit me square in the forehead and logged about an inch or so in. It turned out to be the wheels from a toy truck. You know, the metal bar that hooks into the undercarriage of a toy vehicle and has the tires attached on each end. Well, the metal bar is what went into my head. I stood there in shock for a little bit and the boys stood there with their mouths hanging open. I went to reach up to touch it... as I still really wasn't sure as to what had happened. My older brother then went into motion. He yelled at me not to touch it and grabbed my arm and helped me up the stairs to where the adults were. The other boy's mom freaked when she saw me. My Mom just sat there calmly and told me to come to her so she could look at my head. My Dad wasn't quit as calm about it. He freaked when my Mom said we should pull it out. My Mom calmly stated that it wasn't far enough into my head to have done any damage to my brain. That it probably wasn't even through part of my skull at all so that it would be safe to pull it out. My Dad insisted that he be the one to pull it out. He had my brothers hold onto me as he braced one hand against my forehead and then grabbed the bar with the other. He quickly yanked it out. As soon as it came out my head started gushing blood. This of course sent the other mother into a panic again (I couldn't believe how she kept panicking since she had three boys and her older son and my brother Tadd were always getting some kind of injury). Well, to end the story there, I was just fine. My parents slowed the bleeding and took my to the ER. I didn't even have to get stitches! Just some medical sealing tape across the forehead. I use to have a scar, but over the years it has faded to nothing.
Well, I think I have decided to give you a story not about myself but about my second older brother, Tadd. It actually happened at the same place as the story above (nor long before). My brother Tadd and the oldest boy of that family were the same age so they did everything together... include get in trouble together. Well, on one of our visits they got out a four-wheeler to ride around on. They had to both ride on one. They weren't being too crazy on it for the most part (though they were known for being so including a time they drove one into a tree... which is why they were both riding on one). Anyone riding on a four-wheeler was suppose to always have a helmet on. Well, my brother had one on since he was driving, but the other boy wasn't. He figured he was ok since he was one the back. Big mistake. Well, I have set the story, now I will start with what I was doing at the time everything went down. I was actually at the barn petting the goats and horse (go figure right? haha) when I heard a huge boom. I was curious as to what it was, but was more interested in the horse in front of me. :D All of a sudden I heard screaming and yelling. This got my attention. I ran to the back of the house where everything was in absolute chaos. I saw my Mom and the other mother (wish I could remember her name) crawling around on the ground, my brother was laying on the ground by the house with one of the neighbor girls leaning over him pressing a towel to his face, but I didn't see Eric (that is the name of the boy! haha I remembered) anywhere. Next thing I knew Eric's mother jumped up off the ground screaming, "I found it, I found it!" then raced into the house. I remember then turning back to look at my brother (I had turned to look out in the field where my mom was) when he pulled the towel from his face. I couldn't even see half of his face because of all the blood. My Mom then came running up behind me telling me to get all the younger children into the house that I would be helping the neighbor girl and my oldest brother watch all the younger kids. She then loaded Tadd into our car (Eric and his mom had already left) and took off. I stood there for a second not really knowing what just happened. I just knew that my brother was hurt badly and most likely Eric was too. Not until after my Dad (my Mom was still at the hospital with my brother) came and got my brothers and I, did I find out what happened. My brother and Eric had been driving the four-wheeler around like they usually did... though they weren't allowed to leave the field since running into the tree a few weeks before... when the neighbor girls came outside to watch them, and of course flirt. As Eric and Tadd would drive by the girls would squeal and wave and yell out to them. Well, at one point my brother had driven past them already when one of the girls decided to yell once more to get his attention. My brother turned his head to look back at her, mistake #1, and then took one hand off of the four-wheeler to wave, mistake #2. All of that and what happened next all happened within a matter of seconds. As my brother turned and waved, Eric did the same except he didn't look back, he just waved over his shoulder. So he saw the brick chimney before my brother did, who was driving. He screamed at my brother to watch out, but it was too late. They slammed into the chimney at about 40 mpg. Now you may think that isn't very fast. But for two young boys, only one of whom was wearing a helmet (that wasn't strapped on), that was fast enough. The impact sent my brother flying over the handlebars and at the same time his helmet flew off his head. He slammed face first into the brick, tearing up one side of his face and almost ripping his ear off. At the impact, Eric smacked his face into my brother's helmet, knocking out his front teeth (what my mom and his mom were looking for in the field). He then also hit the brick chimney, but he broker something. I just can't remember what. All I know is that my mom said she was happy that I didn't see him because he was a lot worse then my brother. After that all of us kids were forbidden to ride on four-wheelers... ever. My brother, Tadd, says that he doesn't remember anything about that day after the accident. All he remembers is waving at the girls and Eric screaming something in his ear. After that nothing. Not the 8 hour ER visit, not the stitches... nothing. It turned out that Eric was able to save his teeth though and had them put back in. How that works, I'm really not sure.
Well, there are a couple stories. Trust me, I have MANY more to tell. Most of them have something to do with something my brothers did or tried to do. haha
