I was recently thinking about my planned trip to Italy. Well, mine and some friends of mine. A group of about 5 of us made an agreement about 3 years ago that within 5 years (from that time) we would all take a trip to Italy together. Little did I know that within 3 years time I would be expecting twins... I would be husbandless... jobless... everything less. Needless to say... the $300 that I did have saved up for this trip, is now gone. Spent on diapers, school for my oldest... and just about everything else. That's ok though. I guess it was a far fetched dream anyway. I still dream of traveling the world some day. Maybe once the girls are all teenagers and can have jobs to help mom pay for the trips! haha No, I have given up on just about every dream I use to have back then. I have come to realize that from now on, life is going to be just about surviving. Getting through the month without any unpaid bills... and getting all my college bills paid off. :P It's ok. I just hope that I will be able to help my daughters pursue their hopes and dreams. I plan on supporting them in everything... making it possible for them to believe in miracles and in dreams. 'Cause wasn't that the best part of childhood? Sitting there being able to dream up the most amazing dreams. Clinging to the hope that your most deep desire will be within God's will so that maybe, just maybe... that dream and desire will come true. I want to nurture that innocence in my girls for as long as possible. 'Cause once you grow up and realize that only about 1% of people actually get to accomplish any part of their dream, all the mystery, joy, and wonder goes out of life. Nothing, besides children, holds a candle to a dream. It is what makes most people get out of bed in the morning. Whether their dream is a hope for today to be a better day then yesterday, or a dream of being able to one day change the world. It does not matter, because it is their dream. hhmmm Maybe the moral of this is... don't ever grow up... no matter the cost... just don't ever grow up.
