Having Stephen gone has been a constant roller coaster. I have tried keeping myself busy, but have found it difficult to keep every moment filled. The girls keep me pretty busy but they have their moments where they will just be playing quietly on the floor (like right now they are all in Maggie's room playing nicely together). At the same time there are thing that do need to get done. I have tons of the girls clothes to go through and fold up and pack away. I also need to get out into the yard and get it cleaned and mowed. The first isn't that difficult... in fact I am working on it today. The second is a bit more difficult due to the fact that I can't ever get all the girls to take a nap at the same time so that I can get it done. I think I may just need to stick them in the stroller and have them sit and watch! haha Yes, I think that is what I will do. Get Maggie down for a nap and then mowing. Yippee! : p Though honestly I have always enjoyed mowing. Anyway, I have had the opportunity to set up times to visit with friends that I haven't been able to do something with in quite a while. So that is nice... though it would be nicer to get some time without the girls. I feel awful saying that! But I haven't had a time out since before Stephen left (we had a date the day before he left)... and its been about 3 or 4 months since I've been out with a friend. At the same time though it hasn't been a big deal. I just now realized how long it has been! This weekend I get to go over to a friends house with the girls for a movie and then on Saturday we all get to hang out with my best friend from high school... who I haven't seen in over 6 months and haven't done something with in about a year or more. So it will be nice even with the girls.
Another thing that I miss with Stephen being gone is intelligent conversation. haha I can only talk so much baby gibberish during the week. Maggie can talk some what but it is still a constant guessing game with what she is trying to say. I didn't realize that having an adult to talk to every day was such a must... until I didn't have it! I find myself calling my mom just to tell her about something silly the girls did... just to hear a completely intelligible sentence put together. : ) Well, the playing nicely together has ended so I must go. Here's to intelligent conversations with my friends this weekend!
