I don't know how I am to do this. How do couples do this? How I am I suppose to stop thinking of my husband as... well as my husband? How am I suppose to move past that? How am I suppose to stop loving him? How am I suppose to stop thinking about him? Its seems strange that it will now be wrong for me to long for my husband, and to want to be with my husband. I really don't get how people do this... it seems impossible. I understand a little more why God looks at divorce as something so wrong. You create such a bond and a tie with that person that... it will be with you forever, no matter what... I think. It is impossible to cut. It was never meant to be cut. This world is such a messed up place. So many people, including Christians, have bought into the whole world view of, "Do what makes you happy and what feels good". I am sick of hearing people saying, "Well, it didn't make me happy," or "It didn't feel right to me" (I have been guilty of saying that). Don't get me wrong... I think that certains things in life should make you happy... but everything always won't. Well, majority of the time you won't be happy. It's a fact of life... because life isn't perfect... and we don't always get it right... we don't always go the direction we are suppose to. But there are certain things that people just shouldn't quite on like: their marriage, their children, and their faith.
I read your post and then I read a post from another blog that I follow....and it seemed to fit perfectly. http://www.chattingatthesky.com/2011/03/21/she-names-herself-thankful/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+ChattingAtTheSky+%28chatting+at+the+sky%29&utm_content=Google+Reader
ReplyDeleteThanks Jana. That is a nice story... and I know God has plan for me. Though remarriage is... something that I won't do. Not that it is what you were implying, but yeah. Not even an option.
