I have started listening to music again. The fact that I stopped listening to music... well that just show how low I was. Music has always been my "first love" so to speak. Listening to some of my favorite bands and songs brings back a bit of pain, because he and I listened to many of the same groups and loved some of the same songs; but I think that it may be good for me. I have to be able to move on and move past the pain... and a lot of times the only way to do that is to face it.
Music is such an inspiration. It can lift your spirit, comfort your soul, and/or give you courage when you need it most. Those who think that music should only be confined to one sound or only certain instruments is sorely missing out. Music I think is one of the most beautiful things God created... and one of the best things God gave us the talent (or ability) to be able to "create" (besides children). I think just about every genre is great (well accept for those that can't really be called music... such as... rap!) and the melding of each instrument and the singer's voice is amazing. Not only does the making and using of instruments amaze me... and the fact that God gave us the kind of minds to think them up... but the whole concept of singing is amazing. I mean think about it. How a person can sing such a range of different notes... different tones and pitches... and make it sound beautiful and make it flow together. The voice is another amazing instrument. *sigh* Music, the perfect symbol of how God loves beauty... and how we are designed to bring Him praise and worship.
