New Projects

   I have recently went on a project rampage. Trying anything to break up the mundane. I went and got a couple of dress patterns to be able to sew the girls a couple of sun dresses and I got supplies for building a mobile chicken coop for my parent's backyard. Both of those should take up a bit of time. I am excited about being able to include the girls in making their dresses and also in making the coop. I know Maggie will really enjoy getting to help me. She has already been "helping" my parents build their kitchen in the basement. I am excited that she will be able to help with the new baby chicks too. She will LOVE that! She is a hardcore animal lover just like her mommy. haha

   I am excited about both of my projects, but I think the one I am excited about the most is the chickens. Strange, I know, but one of my favorite chores as a little girl was going out to the barn to collect our chicken's eggs. I miss the joy of the kind of hard work that a person does on a farm. I hope to be able to own my own mini farm some day. I loved being able to grow up on one and was devestated when we had to move away. Anyway, I will put up some pictures of each project as they progress. I am starting on the coop this week and hope to start the dresses ASAP. I still need to pick out the material for the dresses as I am having a hard time deciding how I want them to look. It also makes it hard that I want to try to find a pattern that will come in different colors. That way their dresses will "match". I know, I know... people always get on me about having them match all the time, but as long as they don't care and are still young enough that they really don't have their own style... welp I do believe I will keep doing it! haha
